Finally, after 5 rounds, we have a win. And a pretty decent one at that. Batting first on a belter of a day at Tempe, the fours flowed early, with a good setup from Charlie and TJ. A bit of a lull followed, before a couple of wickets brought a rampant Rookie to the crease. 9 4s and 4 6s later, he and TJ walked off with a total set at 166… tidy effort thanks to 62 from TJ and 73 from Rookie.
I then missed almost all the bowling innings, but am reliably informed that pretty much everyone bowled tight, and the catching sounded very good, as every bowler picked up at least 1 wicket and 4 picked up 2, to leave the Diggers 24 runs short after 25 overs. Well played, Gladdies, well played.
