After 10 years, almost exactly, the Gladdies have finally taken home some silverware at the end of a winter season. Albeit the lowest possible trophy to win. Still, it’s nice to finish the season with a win, and in the end, we did it in a bit of a canter. The toss didn’t go well for us, and we were asked to bowl, but pretty much everything went right from there on in. Hirak struck in the 4th and 6th overs, before Soli made a double strike in the 7th to leave them 4/20. The catching was a highlight, as we nabbed any chance they gave us. Jamie also struck in his first over, and when Soli grabbed two more in the 11th, the game was pretty much done with Chatswood 7/36. They didn’t give up, but Jamie and Jimmy rubbed the last two out either side of drinks and 63 was the target. We got there in the 13th over, with Kunal doing most of the damage. There was plenty of time for a couple of beers at the Cantina at Fox Studios, and it almost felt like old times again.
