Keeping with the tradition of finishing things quickly, the Gladdies again got an early mark… although this time we were on the receiving end. Batting first, the Gladdies racked up quite a few boundaries, but also an alarming proportion of LBWs, falling for 95 after 25 overs, with a few getting starts but no one getting to 20.
We managed to get em 6 down in the chase, led by spearhead Jimbo Ryan with 3/14, but it seems 95 was not going to be enough on a quick outfield at Waterworth. Anyway, it’s always good to get the first loss out of the way early in the season.
